Do you remember the last time you experienced fireworks up close?
Not from a distance, but so near that the sound felt like it was synchronized
with your heartbeat. It was almost overwhelming, like the noise could burst your
eardrums or your heart. It’s a strange mix of worry and joy that I really miss
from my younger days.
